Tell us how to think and talk;
Teach us how to be like Jesus,
Make of us a man like He was.
Lift us out of this pit we've dug,
Increase in us unconditional love;
Free us from these chains of doubt,
Till we know what freedom is about.
Father give us David's heart,
Grant us health to do our part;
Let us know Your perfect Son,
So we believe what He has done.
Tear up every chapter we have written,
Carry us away from the life we made;
Close our eyes and open them again,
To see who really is the Author of Faith.
Father ignite in us a Holy Fire,
Fill us with a passionate desire;
Steady our hand with perfect aim,
And cause our life to reflect the same.
