From the beginning - before time began
God devised a perfectly wonderful plan
Before creation took its first breath
He put an end to sin and death
He knew the songs you'd sing
He wrote the ones you're singing
God knows how to make souls well

He knew the songs you would sing,

Only God knows how to make souls well,
Ah, now His compassion is yours as well.
No heart is stolen from His perfect love,
