LIFE WITHIN MY GRASP

John 14:5-7 (in Context)
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth
and the life. No one comes to the Father
except through Me.

LIFE WITHIN MY GRASP

It must have been awful up on The Cross
To not have your Son-Light recognized
You were content to be my everything
You will always go before me

You are The Truth most never see
Who leads the Way from cradle to grave
Jesus, an all-too-common name
The Son of God who came to save

I think You know that You're my Hero
The Joy and Salvation of my soul
Jesus, You alone give me faith to ask
For You are The Life within my grasp

I must admit the following song was the main inspiration
for that poem; YOU MAY NOTICE SOME SIMILARITIES. Jeff

WIND BENEATH MY WINGS

It must have been cold there in my shadow,
To never have the sunlight on your face.
You've been content to see me shine.
You always walked a step behind.

I was the one with all the glory
While you were the one with all strain.
Only a face without a name.
I never once heard you complain.

Did you ever know that you're my hero?
And everything I'd like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle,
For you are the wind beneath my wings.
