Here I wrote a poem utitlizing a couple of major players in
God's Word and considering how that verse is God's own
advice on the importance of following Jesus and I might
add the consequence of not following Him. I filled it out
with the Lord Jesus and God Himself. Please enjoy. At the

JOHN 8:12
"I am the Light of the world; he who
follows Me will not walk in the darkness,
but will have the Light of life."
STAY IN THE LIGHT
As shade blocks the day,
And fright betrays your faith;
Learn this lesson from Job of old,
Keep your heart from growing cold.
As peace gives way to war,
And temptation clouds your heart;
Learn this lesson from King David,
Keep your heart from chasing sin.
As hope yields disappointment,
And your life comes closer to its end;
Learn this lesson from Christ the Lord,
Keep your heart alive in God`s Word.
As darkness falls and blackens the sky,
And distant stars preach salvation in the night;
Learn a lesson from God who created your life,
Keep your heart strong by staying in the Light.
